First Teaser for AMC’s NOS4A2 Miniseries Warns Someone Bad is Coming

As the resident Stephen King fanboy of Geek Vibes Nation, it is my duty to pass that interest on to as many of you as possible. Just as it is King’s duty to have terrible nightmares and pass them all on to us. Obviously, one person he did this well with is his own son, Joseph King. Never heard of him? That’s probably because he didn’t want to use his father’s success to get a step ahead in the writing business and goes by the pen name of Joe Hill.

As I am currently making my way through Hill’s universally acclaimed Locke & Key comic book series, I decided to give one of his novels a try with the recent announcement that his 2013 book NOS4A2 would be going to series at AMC with Zachary Quinto in the role of antagonist Charlie Manx. Thus far, I’m about 100 pages into the novel so no need to flash a spoiler warning as I’m barely one-sixth of the way through. But the teaser for AMC’s 10 episode miniseries dropped and it helped give me a face to Manx and the lead protagonist, Vic.

Very much the essence of what a teaser should be, it sets the tone and gives nothing away while warning that someone bad is coming. It’s still early in the book for me, but it’s a comforting feeling to know that it appears the apple did not fall far from the tree in regards to King and Hill’s writing style and we’re in for one hell of thriller. There is no release date yet, just simply Summer of 2019.

NOS4A2 stars Zachary Quinto, Ashleigh Cummings, Olafur Olafsson, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
