Giancarlo Esposito will play the villain in Far Cry 6. He will also be prominent in The Boys season two. On top of this, Esposito will expand his character of Moff Gideon in Disney+’s The Mandalorian. It was a pretty epic scene in the finale of Moff Gideon wielding the Darksaber, which had previously not been featured in a live-action capacity.
Esposito participated in an interview recently to speak about Far Cry 6. He did, though; give us some tidbits of what we can expect in The Mandalorian season two. Particularly, the idea of Moff Gideon wielding the Darksaber. And making it clear that the Darksaber is not a trophy for him:
“To be in the position of having that regal, graceful power but have this saber which delineates a different part of me than any other character. To have this saber means I can use it, and I can do my own dirty work, that I’m a fighter, that I’m a warrior. That’s part of me. It also creates the possibility that he is one of the ones. He possibly has that, and that to me is interesting because is he really that fallen hero? Is he a descendant of Darth Vader. Who is he? What does he want? He knows all about everything, and you’ll have to wait to find out. Yeah, he’s actually pretty good with that Darksaber too.”
The Mandalorian wrapped filming in March and will debut the second season in October of this year on Disney+. How excited are you to see Esposito reprise his role as Moff Gideon?
