November 2019 is right around the corner and we should expect to see the once-familiar Lantern crew in different uniforms and enforcing a different kind of galactic law. With the Green Lantern Corps out, welcome the Blackstars. Brought to us by Grant Morrison and Xermanico, the three-issue miniseries, Green Lantern: Blackstairs; has some surprises for us.

In this story, the Blackstars go after the demons of Ysmault, Mongul. As well as Earth. This dangerous new chapter will pave the way for more exciting Green Lantern adventures in 2020 as Blackstars #1 releases November 6th. Essentially, this miniseries will change everything about the Green Lantern Corps.

Morrison teased:

“Oa is the skeleton-paved haunt of vengeful demons. And the Blackstars—a sinister cult of universal peace and harmony, involving surrender to the will of the insidious and/or possibly illuminated Controller Mu—are in the process of subjugating the universe to their creed.”

The Green Lantern #12 is scheduled to hit shelves on October 2nd and with that a catastrophic event by Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp. There will be no Green Lanterns patrolling space – in fact there will never have been a Green Lantern Corps that excited in the first place. Oh, Hal Jordan, what have you done?

Morrison continued:

“Jordan’s one of the Blackstars’ primary operatives. He’s central, although the Cosmic Vampire Countess Belzebeth vies with him for control of the narrative in Blackstars. Hal Jordan is the kind of man who will excel in any situation, so naturally, he’s an elite Blackstar in this altered-continuity.”

Make sure you grab your copy November 6th![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
