Halloween Kills Director Explains What Sets Sequel Apart from 2018 Film

Halloween Kills has been teased over and over again that it will be the biggest and baddest horror film to ever grace the movie screens. What makes it this grandiose? And why does it stand out from its predecessor, Halloween 2018? Director David Gordon Green explains what makes this upcoming Michael Myers film so great:

“If the first film was somewhat retelling the origin of Myers and getting us up to speed with where Laurie had been all those years, then part two is about the outrage of Haddonfield,” Gordon Green told Total Film for the magazine’s latest issue, reported by sister publication Games Radar. “Mob Rules was our working title for the film.”

He added:

“It’s about a community that is united by outrage, and divided in how to deal with evil.”

The entire town of Haddonfield will come together to try to rid themselves of this ghoulish murderer once and for all. It’s great to see a horror franchise alive and well, after the slasher films seemed to fade away up until a few years ago. Gordon Green is showing how possible it is to make a modern-day slasher film that will bring people to the theaters, both young and old.

Are you excited for Halloween Kills, which will hit theaters on October 15, 2021?
