Harrison Ford Says That No One Will Play Indiana Jones After Him

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7499″ img_size=”825×464″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While we are certainly in the era of reboots and remakes, actor Harrison Ford is convinced that Hollywood will not make another Indiana Jones without him. The actor made these statements when he was speaking with Today, essentially squashing any hope that a reboot might be coming with a younger actor, considering Ford is 76 years old.

When asked who he’d like to play the iconic character, Ford responded:

“Nobody is going to be Indiana Jones. Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.”

He added with a laugh:

“This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pine this. I’m sorry, man.”

I would hate to say it, but it doesn’t seem any role is that sacred that Hollywood would refuse to make another movie after an actor’s passing because they previously played the character. The Indiana Jones franchise is a lucrative one and it wouldn’t surprise me if, despite Ford’s persistence; that we get an announcement within the next few years of plans for a reboot.
