Announced by the American Gods’ official Twitter, we’ve not only got the first look at Shadow and Mr. Wednesday, but also more casting news. In another tweet, the account announced Eric Johnson as the Lakeside Chief of Police, Chad Mulligan. The other casting announcement is Dominique Jackson as Ms. World, an incarnation of Mr. World.
I'd also like to welcome two more to the #GodSquad. @tyraaross joins as Ms. World, an incarnation of the infamous Mr. World, and @EricJJohnson79 is our Lakeside Chief of Police, Chad Mulligan. #AmericanGods pic.twitter.com/m256IVH9TG

Does this mean Crispin Glover is not reprising his role as Mr. World? It wouldn’t be the first time actors were changed. Gillian Anderson played Media in season one and left due to the showrunner shakeup, which caused Kahyun Kim to be brought in as New Media. This makes sense, because Neil Gaiman’s book was written practically a decade ago. This explains the transformation between Media to New Media and Bruce Langley transforming into Quantum Boy, a character who never existed in the novel.
But, Glover’s performance as Mr. World was haunting and a perfect counterpart to Mr. Wednesday (played by Ian McShane). I welcome new characters and look forward to see what Jackson does as Ms. World, but hopefully, Glover will return as well!
What do you think of this casting news?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
