James Gunn Discusses The Possibility of a Dark Knight Appearance in ‘The Suicide Squad’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9300″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]One of the things that helped the original Suicide Squad merge into the DC film canon was its use of a few cameo’s from Ben Affleck’s Batman. Now with James Gunn running the show for this version of the Suicide Squad, fans are wondering if the Dark Knight will once again be making an appearance. Perhaps in the form of Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

While that may be an exciting prospect, it appears that fans will have to wait for Todd Phillips Batman for that introduction. At least that is what James Gunn has inferred when answering a question on Twitter from an inquisitive fan.

His Answer: You can check out Batman in #TheBatman, June 2021. #TheSuicideSquad will feature mostly, you know, The Suicide Squad.”

This certainly seems like a pretty definitive no to that question. Especially if we are to take him at his word. Of course, film production has not started as of yet so there is always time for things to change. But at this moment, Suicide Squad will be moving on without the Bat.

Are you disappointed that Batman will not be making an appearance in Suicide Squad? Are your excited for James Gunn version of the Suicide Squad regardless? Share your ideas with us at GeekVibesNation.
