It is a common misconception that there is some feud between DC and Marvel. But, that competition seems to only exist within fans. Director James Gunn is best known as the director for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. When Gunn was then named as director for The Suicide Squad, people felt that there may be some ill-will between Gunn and Kevin Feige. But, Gunn is also directing GOTG Vol 3.
Gunn revealed recently Feige’s response to Gunn directing the upcoming DC film. Read below:
“I told Kevin Feige before I took the job and he was very cool and supportive as he always is. He just wanted me to make a good movie. He and Lou D’Esposito even came to visit the set and watched us shoot. There isn’t the enmity behind the scenes like there is in the fan community.”
