We want to see the X-Men make their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Better yet, we want to see iconic characters cast for Phase 4 of the MCU. One of the characters who needs to be introduced into the MCU is Storm. As one of the core mutants in Marvel lore, whoever plays Storm has to have a big presence. Is that Janelle Monae? According to the singer/actress, Monae would love to play this well-known character:
“I definitely have thrown it out there. One of my dreams has always been to play Storm. I don’t know if she comes in Black Panther, but it would be a dream to have her in it. I don’t know where they are with that. A lot of women have played Storm and they’ve done an exceptional job, and I would love to be in that line of artists and get to do Storm justice.”
Personally, I would love to see Yetide Bakadi from American Gods play the part. She commands the screen in that show has Bilquis and has expressed the desire to play Storm as well. But, would you want to see Monae as Storm?
