Jason Blum Teases Sequel To ‘HALLOWEEN’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4469″ img_size=”810×610″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]One of last years most anticipated films was the rebooted Halloween film series that saw not only the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode but it also saw the return of creator John Carpenter. The film was received well by critics and fans and went on to earn Blumhouse a whopping $254.3M on a $10M budget. There have been reports of a sequel happening but nothing has been confirmed by Blumhouse other than they really want to get a sequel in the works. Jason Blum recently gave fans hope though that we might hear some sequel news sooner rather than later. While promoting the release date for Leigh Whannel’s Invisible Man, Jason was asked by a fan if we could get a Halloween 2 announcement to which Jason replied, “Working on it”

That seemed to be enough to get fans talking and hyped up for another Halloween as they replied back with enthusiasm that we would hear something official very soon. I love the rebooted Halloween film which picks up directly after the events of Halloween, ignoring all the other entries. I am very excited to see where the franchise goes from here and there is no doubt that the franchise has seen a rejuvination and it could only be win for Blumhouse to put out another film.
