John Cena and Mindy Kaling will be teaming up for a new crime comedy movie – Crime After Crime. This report comes from the Illuminerdi, who reports that the comedy will come from STX Entertainment. The movie will apparently center around an “unlikely duo as they try to solve the mystery”.
Crime After Crime is written by David Young and Dan Gurewitch. The movie will be directed by Claire Scanlan and focus on Kaling as Abby – a “millennial true-crime podcaster”. Cena will play Daryl – a convict who breaks out of prison and shows up at Abby’s home. Having been the subject of her podcast, Daryl looks to Abby to help prove his innocence.
