With the great success of Disney+’s The Mandalorian, many of the original contributors for Star Wars have expressed their admiration of the show. This is music to the ears of show creator Jon Favreau. He is a self-described Star Wars junkie and appreciates those who came before him. So when Star Wars VFX legend Phil Tippett commented on the show. Favreau was watching. Tippet congratulated Favreau on his show through Twitter which immediately brought about this response from Favreau:
Thank you! I’m a huge fan. We’re on set now talking about how exciting it would be to see your work on the Mandalorian.
— Jon Favreau (@Jon_Favreau) February 20, 2020
Leave it to Favreau to respect and be excited about such a possibility. Tippett is a multi-time Oscar winner for his work in Star Wars and Jurassic Park among others. He was one of the first hires for George Lucas for his original film.
