The Last of Us is a wildly popular game and fans are excited an upcoming HBO adaptation. While there were no details as to who would be playing the main characters, the Illuminerdi has gathered a scoop on who could potentially be playing Joel.
The news outlet reports that Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali has been offered the role of Joel. Joel plays one of the main characters in The Last of Us. He’s a “ferocious survivor with a few moral lines that he has yet to cross”. The Last of Us can be a pretty emotional game. And we’ve seen Ali have a huge range when it comes to emotions. He’s been in Luke Cage, True Detective, The Green Book, Roxanne Roxanne, House of Cards, and more. And he’s going to be the MCU’s Blade. Will Joel be another iconic character he takes on?
