Marvel’s ‘The Runaways’ Announces Date for Second Season

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2528″ img_size=”710×473″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Marvel’s Runaways, a Hulu exclusive; is a show about six bright teenagers who run away after discovering their parents are part of an evil organization otherwise known as the Pride. Due to the success of the show, Hulu has ordered a thirteen episode second season. According to comicbook.com, the official synopsis for the second season is as follows:

The Runaways have left their homes (and evil parents) behind and now have to learn to live on their own. As they scavenge for food, search for shelter, and take care of one another, our kids begin to realize that, for better or worse, they’re stuck with each other. And it’s up to them to take down PRIDE once and for all. But someone sent a mysterious message to Jonah… Is there a mole in the Runaways? Meanwhile PRIDE is focused on finding their children, and Jonah has his own dangerous plan in mind.

Sounds like the group of teens are definitely going to have their handful! On top of announcing the premise for the second season, it was officially announced that all 13 episode will be available to enjoy December 21st of this year. Darker versions of teen shows seem to be working for Marvel, as Cloak & Dagger on Freeform is doing very well. This on top of how well the Netflix Marvel shows are perceived; it’s nice to see that although the movies at times are lighter than some would hope for, we can at least look forward to tangible, grittier shows to really dive into. Marvel’s Runaways has certainly reached a new audience that Marvel is happy to have and we are happy to keep watching.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
