One day we hear Pattinson is in as Batman, the next we hear not so fast. Well today is the “not so fast” day. Ace scooper, Umberto Gonzalez has some news regarding the on going casting debacle. In a Twitter update, Gonzalez indicates both Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult are screen testing for the role and most likely in the Batsuit. Gonzalez is also reporting the filming is now most likely delayed until the first quarter of 2020.
BATMAN UPDATE: Robert Pattinson & Nicholas Hoult are screen testing for the role. I suspect they’re screen testing in the Batsuit because Wardrobe Department will need full wardrobe test. Additionally, the film will now start production in Q1 2020.? pic.twitter.com/eekafrqomL

A UK production news site reported earlier today that Reeves Batman film would begin filming this Fall in London but that now does not appear to be the case. Lots of news surrounding the film but nothing really seems confirmed at this. The script is said to be in its final stages of being polished up which has been the main source of delay according to various outlets. Hopefully a casting decision will be made soon and perhaps we will get something official at Comic Con this July.
