While we are unsure of when Spider-Man 3 will return, we are excited about the possibilities that the Sony Spider-Man universe could entail. Whether it’s in an actual Spider-Man movie or perhaps a future Venom film, we want to see some baddies. Specifically, baddies who were teased along the way. Let’s take Michael Mando as Scorpion. We saw him speak with Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes aka Vulture at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, but haven’t seen him since. It’s teased that Keaton will return in Morbius as Vulture, which was quite a surprise to us all. Does this mean we could see other teased characters?
Mando says “stay tuned”. In a Reddit AMA, Mando responded to a fan’s adoration of the character:
“Thank you so much sir! I love Spiderman and I love that whole team 🙂 Who knows, I keep hearing things but I can’t confirm or deny anything… yet. Stay tuned xoxox”
Mando also said he’d love a Scorpion movie:
“I definitely would. I think that would be fascinating – a detective who goes rogue. Mac Gargan kind of goes a little bit insane, and there’s also this other story where he becomes Venom as well. I think it’s a very, very rich character; it’s a dark character. And he’s a cop at the end of the day; he’s a detective. I think that’d be something that I would definitely be something I’d like to watch.”
Considering Sony seems to almost be doing a “rogue-verse”, why not? Would you want to see Mando return as Scorpion?
