But, season nine featured Negan locked away in Alexandria, though; still, some great scenes were to be had. In the comics, we know Negan gets out of prison at some point. While Michonne has kept a close watch to ensure this won’t happen in the show, showrunner Angela Kang teased that the character may soon be getting out from behind the bars.
“We had a whole year with him in his cell. So I think after his heroic rescue of Judith, people might’ve noticed that when he was in that bed in the infirmary, he was not tied up or cuffed. So we’re dealing with the next stage of what things are for Negan. I think for people who have been wanting us to release the Negan, there will be some satisfaction there.”
We will have to see how everything pans out with Negan and his freedom, but we all know you can’t keep Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the corner for too long. How do you feel knowing that there’s a huge possibility that Negan will finally be free?
