While Marvel is moving forward on their Jack Kirby based Eternals film, Director Ava DuVernay is hard at work on her Jack Kirby based New Gods. Of course with new films comes fan questions and speculation. Recently on Twitter, fans asked DuVernay about the possible appearance of two fan favorites: Darkseid and the Furies. She confirmed both would be included in her film.

It is only natural fan’s would ask about Darkseid, as he was supposed to be a major player in Zack Snyder’s proposed Justice League. Then where you have Darkseid, it makes sense that you would have his popular squad of fanatically loyal female warriors, the Furies. Among the best known of them was Big Barda who is expected to be a major part of the film. The admission of both Darkseid and the Furies give DC fans two huge reasons to look forward to DuVernay’s film.
