So what do we know about the New Gods film? Til this point, not much. We know that director Ava DuVernay is heading the project, and that’s about it. Fortunately, comic writer extraordinaire Tom King has showed us some mercy. He recently teased his involvement in the film on Twitter.
Heading out to SDCC followed by some time in LA to work on New Gods. Longest I’ve ever been away from the family. pic.twitter.com/73vuqSw5lE

King’s involvement makes sense. Especially seeing how his Mister Miracle comic series deals extensively with his relationship with Big Barda. The same character that DuVernay has expressed her admiration for. She couldn’t have picked a more knowledgeable writing partner on the subject.
