[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The new Halloween film seems like it has tried to do all it can to bring back the nostalgia of the 1978 Halloween. Jamie Lee Curtis is coming back for what could be her final time playing Laurie Strode and even though Donald Pleasence is no longer with us, the filmmakers found a way to include his character Dr. Loomis in the new film. At Comic Con, director David Gordon Green was asked if there would be any other original cast members to show up in the film and he responded “Yes, but we cannot talk about that right now”.
According to US Weekly, former Halloween actress Kyle Richards who played Lindsey Wallace actually reached out to see if she could have a spot in the new film. Richards told US Weekly:
“I really wanted to be so badly. And I’ve never done this in my life. I literally reached out and said, ‘Can I be in it in any capacity? I’ll be an extra. I’ll do anything.’ But they didn’t think that it was going to fit in with the story or something.”
Despite being turned away, the actress seems to hold no grudges and still looks back fondly on her time in the original film saying this:
“That’s probably the number one thing next to “Little House on the Prairie,” or now The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, that people ask me about. So it’s just something that I feel really proud to have been a part of. It’s such an iconic film. And I have a lot of memories from that, which I don’t have from all the things I’ve done. For some reason, it really sticks out in my mind.”
Despite Kyle not getting the cameo nod the film still sounds like it will try and bring back some of our favorites from the first film and based on the trailers and the reaction to footage shown at Comic Con, Halloween is going to be a true return to form for the franchise and one that will make fans of the series very happy.

I bet her involvement with the Real Housewives show hindered her chances, the studio probably felt that she is now more known for being a reality tv star/ socialite than as an actress.
Quite possible but sounds like she was trying for anything to get in the film. Maybe they will bring her back for a sequel
