No Man’s Sky Upcoming Expansion “Beyond” Promises Revised Multiplayer

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17954″ img_size=”788×443″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Hello Games, the brains behind No Man’s Sky have recently announced that No Man’s Sky will be getting yet another major expansion in the form of “Beyond”, which will arrive later this summer in a free update for all players. We got a small teaser showing off a space traveler in a hanger and the title of the expansion but that was about it.

Whilst the trailer didn’t show us a whole lot we also got a blog post from the official No Man’s Sky website. It reveals how Hello Games were initially working on 3 separate expansions but “whilst working on our roadmap of three future updates, we decided we wanted to interweave their features and had a vision for something much more impactful.” Beyond will contain all 3 of those expansions rolled into one with the first component being No Man’s Sky Online.

The blog states “No Man’s Sky Online includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together. Whilst this brings people together like never before and has many recognizable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO.” No Man’s Sky Online will be completely free and will not require any sort of subscription, other than console subscriptions like Xbox Live or PS plus, and will have no micro-transactions what so ever. The changes contained in No Man’s Sky Online are in response to feedback given off the last big expansion the game received; No Man’s Sky: Next, and details regarding the other 2 components of Beyond will be detailed closer to their release.

No Man’s Sky has received a whole host of updates ranging in size since launch and each one has built on the last and truly transformed the game from what it was at launch. No Man’s Sky Online as well as Beyond, in general, seems to be the next in a long line of improvements which keep on adding more and more to this game.
