Criminal Minds may have previously ended after 15 seasons, but it seems it’s set to revive on Paramount+. Deadline reports the streamer will bring back to popular crime drama series. Julie McNamara, who is the EVP or development and programming for Paramount+ said that the streaming platform would “have a suite of new projects” in order to appeal to the “culture’s ever-growing obsession [with crime procedurals].”
The revival is expected to bring back executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer. It seems that most of the cast (maybe all of them from the final CBS season) will return for the revival. Currently, ABC Signature and CBS Studio are producing the revival, as well as the docuseries. This is all a part of Julie McNamara’s two-year plan to “revitalize the franchise”.
