Plot Details Revealed For ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3706″ img_size=”620×285″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_column_text]There is no one better equipped to lead a live-action adaptation of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. These books became beloved stories with macabre black and white images to tell the spooky tales. Zoe Colletti has been cast as the lead and the plot, according to Collider; is as follows:

“A young girl still haunted by her mother’s disappearance on Halloween night — an incident that she suspects her father knows more about than he lets on. Years later, Stella and her friends are involved in a Halloween prank gone wrong. But are they really at fault, or was it the work of a vengeful spirit — a female ghost who uses her scary stories to come after the teens when they begin to investigate the disappearance of several children?”

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is not the first and only beloved children’s spooky stories to come back, as we’ll be seeing a sequel to 2015’s Goosebumps later this year and a TV series rendition of Are You Afraid of the Dark will be adapted by Stephen King’s IT writer Gary Dauberman. This is the perfect time of year to announce such products, as we’re nearing the end of summer and Halloween is just around the corner.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark was originally published in 1984 and has sold over seven million copies.
