Ricky Whittle Says That Season Three of American Gods is the Best Season Yet

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23819″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Season two of American Gods teased Shadow’s journey in season three. For those who have read the book, we know Shadow Moon will be traveling to Lakeside, where a large portion of the book takes place in. After an explosive turn of events in season two’s finale, there will certainly be a lot of pieces that need to be picked up the next time we see this ensemble cast.

Shadow Moon’s star Ricky Whittle teased what fans can expect in season three. Whittle told Bleeding Cool that he will begin work on the show at the end of September. Whittle describes the stories as “incredible” and how Shadow will be different in season three than season two and one.

Whittle bolding stated:

“For me, season 3 is going to be – by far – the best season yet.”

Shadow spent season one mostly in the dark to the world of gods and in season two, he stood mostly behind Mr. Wednesday. Now, though; that Shadow knows who Mr. Wednesday is and how Laura’s death wasn’t an accident, who knows what kind of Shadow we’ll be getting.

Season three has a new showrunner, The Walking Dead’s Charles “Chic” Eglee. According to the Starz COO Jeffrey Hirsch, Eglee is bringing a lot to the table:

“Chic is doing a tremendous job on Season 3. We are feeling good about it. What I can speak to is that Season 3, based on what he is bringing to the table with scripts, it’s coming on really well. I think anytime you bring on a new showrunner they bring on their own experience and that’s what we’re seeing.”

What are you hoping to see in American Gods season three?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
