We knew it was going to happen eventually, but X-Men are coming to the MCU! According to the Illuminerdi, Marvel Studios is developing an X-Men feature film that is tentatively called The Mutants.
There are plenty of MCU films that will premiere in the upcoming years. One of them being the Fantastic Four film – which will kick off Disney’s venture into introducing the Fox characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There aren’t many details other than that, but it would certainly make sense. After all, the X-Men franchise was around and world-building long before Iron Man kicked off the MCU in 2008.
If Disney acquired Fox, of course they’re going to use some of the most well-known superheroes of all time. And why wouldn’t they have their own film? As we find out more, we’ll let you know.
