Video games are now being adapted and what better video game is there for a movie adaptation than Red Dead Redemption? The 2010 game is wildly popular for its cinematic approach to Westerns and was a huge financial success for Rockstar Games – the developers.
According to Giant Freakin Robot, Sony will be developing a live-action adaptation of Red Dead Redemption. With Sony’s library, they have plenty to pick from, but this seems like an obvious one. Not only due to its success, but people love Westerns. Not only is HBO’s Westworld popular right now, but shows like The Mandalorian are praised due to its Western feel. So, I can see this being a success.
Not to mention Sony say success with the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. We’ll have to keep a look out for more information. Who would you want to be cast in a Red Dead Redemption movie?
