Chris Evans himself had announced that he was retiring from the role of Captain America. Every news site out there wrote articles about it. The actor had stated, “You want to get off the train before they push you off.” Actors reacted. The Captain America star even wrote a heartfelt message on Twitter after filming his last scene for Avengers 4.
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.

So, this comes to a shock that the Russo brothers have stated that Chris Evans is not done with the MCU. Not done? We’ve been preparing for this though. We’ve been emotional. Not done? Joe Russo stated (mentioning the emotional tweet Evans sent out):
“I think it was more emotional for him than it was us because he’s not done yet. I won’t explain what that means but fans will soon understand what I’m talking about.”
What do you make now of this confusing message? Have we seen the last of Evans as Steve Rogers? What does Joe Russo mean that we will soon understand? We’ll surely have to wait until May 3, 2019 when Avengers 4 comes out, though; we do not have a trailer nor a title yet.
