Sony Producer Amy Pascal Says Don’t Count Out a Black Cat Solo Film

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”25038″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Sony’s Silver & Black film was scrapped, but Black Cat is still getting her own solo movie. That is at least what producer Amy Pascal says.

Sony’s use of Spider-Man is a huge success for them. Between Venom garnering a lot of money and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse having won awards, Sony is looking confidently into their future with these spin-off films. Morbius is set to be the next spin-off movie they work on. And Spider-Man: Far From Home will be a huge win for them as well, in conjunction with Disney’s MCU.

Pascal assures fans that Black Cat is not out for the count:

“I like Black Cat a lot, I think she is a really great character. We had her a little bit in the Amazing [Spider-Man] movie, but she’s kind of that character that we didn’t really turn into the Black Cat yet. I think that’s a really great character”.

Pascal says that she thinks that a Black Cat solo film is still in the works. Depending on how well Morbius does and the sequel to Venom, which Tom Hardy is now confirmed for; Sony’s want to give Black Cat her own movie might be strengthened. Do you want to see a Black Cat movie?

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2nd.
