Video Quality
South Park: The Complete Twenty-Sixth Season comes to Blu-Ray with a lovely transfer that is as bright and carefully rendered as any other recent season of the show. The show has followed the same general production process for the past several years, so there are no big surprises in store. This is a clear presentation free of any dirt, debris, or damage. There is the occasional issue with banding in the background, but most will probably not notice unless they are sensitive to such things. Colors are dazzling and bold throughout these six episodes, but the actual level of detail in the animation is limited by the production style. The thick lines and details are crisp and maintained well without any bleeding into other portions of the screen. South Park maintains the top level of quality it has always showcased on Blu-Ray.
Audio Quality
The Blu-Ray comes with a rock-solid Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack that accomplishes everything it needs to. There is an array of environmental sound effects throughout the town that makes the area more lived-in and bustling. Dialogue is the star of the mix with a clear presentation anchored in the center speaker that subtly creeps into surrounds during moments where required by the narrative. Music is prominent with flawless fidelity and stings accentuating certain scenes in the rear channels. While not the most sonically demanding series, this one holds up well to the expected standards.

Final Thoughts
South Park: Season 26 keeps humming along at a consistent pace for the series as it offers up biting cultural critiques and uproarious situations in only the way Matt Stone and Trey Parker can dream up. The series still feels like a shadow of its golden years, but there is enough consistency throughout these six episodes to make it worth seeking out. There are no real duds in this outing, so those who like this brand of humor should be more than satisfied. Paramount Home Entertainment has released this latest season on Blu-Ray with a great A/V presentation but nothing in the way of special features. Recommended
South Park: The Complete Twenty-Sixth Season is available to purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD.
