When the manager of an American chain restaurant is selected to attend a special training program in Italy, her head swims with the dreams of European glamour and romance. But the trip turns out to be much different – and possibly more dangerous – than the exotic getaway she imagines.

Video Quality
RLJE Films brings Spin Me Round to Blu-Ray with a nice 1080p video presentation. The image for this one is crisp and clean with the colorful fantasy Amber has in her mind outside of the conference room walls standing in stark contrast with the reality of her situation. Flesh tones are natural with a significant amount of detail present in close-ups. The presentation allows for a grand amount of depth on display, especially when out in the world. The production design and the outfits provide perfectly clear textural details. Black levels are appropriately deep and inky with no discernable digital noise. There are some intriguing aesthetic choices that keep the film visually engaging. There are no serious issues that would detract from anyone’s enjoyment.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with a rock solid DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that captures this world perfectly. There is little in the way of big, kinetic sequences, but the environmental sounds of the world liven up the surround speakers in a really impactful way. Ambient sounds are carefully placed in the rear channels for a fully immersive experience. Dialogue is the driving force of the film, and it always comes through clearly without being overshadowed by any competing sounds. The music in the film flows through the speakers with wonderful fidelity. There are a few exaggerated moments in the film that add texture to the low end. The audio track delivers on every front you could ask for with this release. There are optional English SDH subtitles provided.

Final Thoughts
Spin Me Round has many interesting individual elements going for it, most notably its terrific cast of some of the funniest people around. Where things get a bit rocky is in the execution of the narrative which takes large tonal swings that do not always connect as intended. The film commands your attention, but it does not always know what to do with it once it has it. The film is not a failure, it just seems to have a slight identity crisis. RLJE Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray featuring a strong A/V presentation and nothing in the way of supplemental features. If you are intrigued because of the cast, this one is worth a watch, but it is best to go in with a minor bit of hesitation.
Spin Me Round is currently available to purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Dillon is most comfortable sitting around in a theatre all day watching both big budget and independent movies.
