Video Quality
Suits: The Complete Series arrives on Blu-Ray with an enjoyable AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 1.78:1. This release brings all nine seasons together for the first time in high definition with 134 episodes on 35 discs. We were disappointed this show did not make the cut for Blu-Ray when it was originally being released stateside, but we are glad that the streaming popularity of the show likely played a part in Universal reconsidering. The series is cool and sleek as you zip around this world of fast-paced litigation and intimate personal moments. The level of detail visible in the frame in HD is truly a welcome sight, as all of the discrete details in the titular garments and upscale production design are out in full force.
Despite leaning more towards the steely side of the color spectrum, the are plenty of deep nuances within the hues on screen. Some of the dresses and other flourishes in the background are especially lovely. Black levels are mostly deep and give way to a robust amount of detail in shadows. The highlights of the show do not succumb to any blooming in this presentation. Skin tones appear natural across the entire ensemble. There are no unforgivable instances of aliasing or compression artifacts detectable throughout this arc. This Blu-Ray presentation is what we always dreamed of from this show.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray set comes with a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that faithfully brings these episodes to life throughout all nine seasons. Dialogue always emanates clearly without being overshadowed by the atmospheric score, special tunes, or any sound effects. While not kinetic in the action-packed sense, this is a frenzied environment that has characters moving swiftly to track down the information they need. The appropriate power comes through when the low end needs to be engaged. Ambient sounds are also placed with care in the rear channels. How the series utilizes music often saturates the room and perfectly complements the drama on screen. The audio is in top form for this series. There are optional English SDH subtitles and an array of European subtitles provided.

Final Thoughts
Suits was always a series that had a magnetic pull thanks to its mixture of breezy procedural fun and compelling characters that kept the drama churning even when they were not in the courtroom. The fact that the series has gotten such a robust second life on streaming is a testament to how accessible and addictive it is when it is at its best, and it often is even as dynamics shift in the later seasons. The secret formula of the series is its characters, as you want to follow them throughout their journey cheering their victories and pulling your hair out over the messes they get into. It is great fun that goes down smoothly. Universal Home Entertainment has released a fantastic complete series Blu-Ray set featuring a great A/V presentation and a nice selection of special features. It is good to have a comfort show like this not held hostage by streaming services. Highly Recommended
