One of the most interesting facts about this upcoming film is that it will premiere on Netflix before hitting AMC, which was the network that the original series ran on for five seasons.
The next piece of news is that the movie will be a sequel, following Jesse during the aftermath of the series’s finale events – which saw the character escaping the Neo-Nazis who were forcing him to cook meth for them. Vince Gilligan, who directed the series and Better Call Saul, will be on as the director for this sequel.
As far as previously known details, main star Bryan Cranston did delve into some tidbits of information:
“It’s a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open [in the series finale],” Cranston said. “This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those — at least a couple of the character show were not completed, as far as their journey.”
Whether Cranston shows up and how they manage to do so, will be interesting to see. Are you exciting for the Breaking Bad movie?
