‘THE JOKER’: Alec Baldwin Shutsdown Rumors He Will Play Thomas Wayne Like Donald Trump

UPDATE:
According to USA Today, Baldwin says he is no longer involved with the film due to various “scheduling” issues.

“I’m sure there are 25 guys who can play that part,” the actor said.

A few days ago news broke that Alec Baldwin had joined DC’s else world film, The Joker. Reports indicated he would be playing Thomas Wayne. Borys Kits from The Hollywood Reporter actually gave more details about the Thomas Wayne character which compared him to current President Donald Trump.

Word must have gotten around to Alec because he took to Twitter today to shutdown the rumors that his Thomas Wayne would be anything like Donald Trump

Alec Baldwin has found success with his Donald Trump impersonation on SNL and it is no secret that Baldwin and President Trump do not like each other. While I would not have agreed with seeing Thomas Wayne turned into a cartoon it is not without saying that this is an else world film and anything can go. Rumors currently floating around hint that we will see people in the film as the Joker sees them so while Thomas might be this great man, the Joker will see him as a cartoon character. The last time we saw Thomas Wayne on screen was in 2016 when Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the role for Batman v Superman. Morgan has expressed interest more than once about playing Thomas Wayne/Batman in what was to be the Flashpoint film but those story details seem to have been scrapped for now.

How do you feel about these comments? Would you like to see Alec play Thomas like Trump or are you glad this was debunked? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
