The Walking Dead Sees Its Lowest Ratings Ever

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8536″ img_size=”800×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Walking Dead wants to go on for ten years, but the ratings’ decline of the show says that that is not likely. With season nine premiering, the AMC show had its lowest viewership among those in the 18 to 49 age bracket. To add salt to the wound, the second episode drew in a 2.0 rating, which was the lowest ever for the show. 4.9 million may sound like a lot of people, but it’s the lowest number the series has had since season one.

This may sound very dreadful, but it’s not looking good. Ever since season seven’s shocking premiere, which killed the fan favorite Glenn; it seems that no matter how much Negan, the show cannot pick up.  This on top of Andrew Lincoln’s exit from the show, which probably will spike some of its viewership for his departing episode; will probably not bode well in the long run. We have lots of great characters to choose from, but it’s not often that a show can recover after losing its lead. We’ll have to see how this plays out.

How are you enjoying season nine so far?
