As newly released films are watched, reviewed, discussed, celebrated, or torn to shreds, the 4oo+ members of the Critics Choice Association rate what they’ve seen. As a member, each week a list of newly released films is available for me to rate after viewing. Now, as it is very difficult to watch every film, we only vote for the films that we’ve actually watched in their entirety. The great thing about it is that there isn’t a way to be swayed to vote a particular way, as you can only see your rating and no one else’s. Also, the vote is recorded live. New films that are rated highly are awarded a special seal.
The Critics Choice Seal of distinction is given to new movies receiving a high Critics Choice Ratings score in the weekly voting by the Critics Choice Association.
