Transformers is one of those franchises that reboots every few years with a new show. The animation style changes, the voice acting is different (for the most part), and the next generation is exposed to the everlasting war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. And we love Transformers for that. From the G1 days to Beast Wars, Transformers: Animated, Transformers Prime, and Transformers: Cyberverse, there’s a Transformers show for everyone.
Transformers: Earthspark is the latest reboot, coming from Nickelodeon and premiering on Paramount+. With a fantastic animation style and new voices, Earthspark takes a lot of inspiration from G1 and the amazing IDW comic book series that practically spanned a decade. Specifically, as it was in the comic book realm, the infamous villain Megatron has a change of heart and aligns himself with Optimus. This causes a lot of sore feelings between the villainous Decepticons and Earthspark did an interesting job in handling Megatron’s complicated relationships and history with ally and enemy alike.

Transformers: Earthspark also did something completely creative and gave viewers new Transformers called Terrans – the first Cybertronians to be born on Earth. While the show has some weak points in regards to some of the human characters and the Terrans, it does well with its legacy characters and part three of season one was absolutely amazing.
