[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23988″ img_size=”633×356″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Walking Dead has a successful spin-off with Fear the Walking Dead and if you didn’t know it, we’re getting a third spin-off show of the hit AMC series.
According to chief content officer Scott Gimple:
“We’re starting shooting next month. All of that is with the little asterisk of ‘Who knows?’ Things could change. It’s gonna be completely different from the other two shows. We’re trying to open up these new worlds of The Walking Dead to show different corners, different tones, different aspects. Hopefully, they complement one another.”
So far the spin-off is untitled, but we do know that it will follow two young female characters as we explore the first generation of humans who were raised after the start of the zombie apocalypse. This will certainly be interesting considering that we are currently following people who remember life before the end of civilization.
Gimple had said in a past statement:
“Showing audiences an unseen pocket of The Walking Dead Universe steeped in a new mythology is a very cool way to celebrate a ‘Decade of the Dead’ on TV and over fifteen years of Robert Kirkman’s brilliant comic.”
He continued:
“Matt Negrete is one of the best writer-producers in TWD’s long history — I’m thrilled to be working beside him to tell stories unlike we’ve seen before, taking our first step into an even larger world.”
The untitled series will premiere in 2020 – are you excited?
