Walter Hamada’s Plan For DC

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11081″ img_size=”800×425″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Ever since the backlash of Justice League, probably even before that, many people complained that Warner Bros were not cut to hold the Dc Superhero property, cut to a few months later Walter Hamada was announced as the new President for DC Films, according to Variety. Many were excited, but as months went by all we had gotten was bad news after bad news, from Ben Affleck leaving Batman, according to TheWrap. Henry Cavill most likely leaving Superman according to the Hollywoodreporter.

At first glance, it might seem that Walter Hamada still does not have a plan, but I feel that Walter Hamada was only cutting some of the unneeded fat for his plans for DC. Some of the recent news proves that his plan is slowly coming along and quite smoothly I might add. Here is a list that has been happening of the past few months.

  1. According to TheWrap That Blue Beetle is under development as we speak. This will be our first Latino lead superhero.
  2. According to Deadline Cathy Yan is set to direct an all-female lead cast for Birds of Prey. This will be our first Asian director for a superhero movie, also coming from Deadline we also got a cast for Black Canary, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Huntress, Mary Elizabeth Winstead. There was some backlash from this because Black Canary isn’t white for this movie.
  3. Matt Reeve’s has given us a little update on The Batman gvnation.com dismissing the rumour of it being Year One.
  4. Flash is finally moving forward after so many directors leaving. Deadline it is said that flash is expected to start film next year, 2019.
  5. Ava DuVernay will still direct New Gods and she is getting ready  Gvnation

Remember after Aquaman we will be seeing a lot more news from DC and  this was just the start. I trust Walter Hamada, he has been patient and slowly striking us with amazing news and it is only going to get better in 2019.

This is a side note. Aquaman releases December 15 for Amazon Prime members and December 21 for the masses, but early reaction has already surfaced and they are amazing reviews
