Warner Bros. Reveals upcoming HBOMax Content

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”31134″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With Disney+ preparing to launch in two weeks, it was Warner Bros and HBOMax’s turn to reveal their wares. The first thing we now know is HBO Max is set to Launch in May 2020. It will be offered for free to HBO Subscribers for one year for those who have one of AT&T’s TV Services. Subscription rate will be $14.99 per month. This is more expensive than their competitors but what will their customers get for their money?

DC is front and Center

For starters, they are projecting over 10,000 hours of premium content for the service. This begins with much of the content that HBO provides. But that’s only the beginning. Since this is a WB service, it only went to follow that DC would be a huge part of its programming. And they made that clear.

We’re all in with DC! All live-action DC films of the last decade will be available on HBO Max within the first year of launch, including every SUPERMAN and BATMAN movie from the last 40 years.

In addition, they announced that they would be the exclusive home for Todd Phillips Joker.

It’s not all about the heroes, either. Todd Phillips’ @JokerMovie is shattering box office records, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. Don’t miss Joker in theaters and it will be available to stream by HBO on HBO Max in 2020.

Green Lantern and Adam Strange

Another welcome announcement involved fan favorites Green Lantern and Adam Strange.

One more for @DCComics fans. In partnership w/ @GBerlanti we’re excited to bring to series the beloved Green Lantern AND introduce audiences to Strange Adventures, about “man of two worlds” Adam Strange, an archaeologist-turned-intergalactic-hero when he’s zeta-beamed to planet Rann.

Future films

This goes along with something Variety reported. According to their report, HBO Max is requesting for Warner Bros. to produce ‘eight to ten’ films exclusively for the streaming service. These would have budgets on par with feature films. The trending theory is that they will most likely include some more DC properties and projects overseen by J.J Abrams. However, unfortunately for some DC fans, this doesn’t include the much talked about but yet to be revealed “Snyder Cut” of Justice League. So for them, the journey continues. Regardless, it gives fans of the DC Universe plenty of content to be excited about.

But this is just a taste of the overall offerings for HBOMax. There is licensed programming such as Friends, Big Bang Theory,  Rick and Morty, South Park and much more. Needless to say GeekVibesNation will cover all they have to offer as we always do. Stay tuned.

Are you excited but what you’ve heard so far about HBOMax? Did the content revealed make it a must have for your viewing time? Share your thoughts with us at Geek Vibes Nation.
