Writer Zack Stentz Gives Update on ‘BOOSTER GOLD’ Film

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10979″ img_size=”798×420″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has long been reported that DC was working on getting a Booster Gold movie developed but other than reports nothing much else has been said and no one really knows where the progress is on it. Screenwriter Zack Stentz, who is attached to the project from Greg Berlanti, joined The Fanboy Podcast hosted by Mario F. Robles and had some interesting things to say about the project.

“I do not know what’s going on with it right now, honestly. And I don’t know if the DC people know what’s going on with it. Their strategy seems to change depending on how […] most recent movie did. But I can tell you that a script has been turned in that the director and producer, Greg Berlanti, has proclaimed himself to be very happy with. And it’s something that’s ready to go, but DC and Warner Bros. would need to give the greenlight to it. The ball is in their court.”

Based on those comments it seems the project still lives, for now, and perhaps the studio is waiting to see how other upcoming projects do. Warner Bros currently has Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad in the works.  The long awaited Batman film from Matt Reeves saw some life last week when it was announced Robert Pattinson will be taking over the role of the caped crusader.  Perhaps if these movies open the way Warner and DC like then they will push the Booster Gold film to the front of the line. Fans though I think would rather see movement on the Flash film, a Green Lantern film, and the long awaited Man of Steel sequel.

As always share your thoughts with us in the comments below.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
