Fans were in a state of panic when Wynonna Earp had stopped production. Previously been given the green light for a fourth season, financial difficulties were the reason everything was on hold for six months. This led to fans voicing their concern, putting billboards up in Times Square, and creating the hashtag #FightForWynonna. As a fan of the Marvel Netflix universe, I can relate. But, unlike The Defenders, Wynonna Earp will be back.
Emily Andras, the creator of Wynonna Earp, was quoted as saying to TV Junkies:
“No one EVER gave up, and that has made all the difference. It’s a testament to the nature of this fandom that our cast and crew knew we also had to keep fighting, no matter what.
For the Earpers. And to the Earpers, I want to say — you did this. You showed up when we needed you to, in spades. You never lost your polite-yet-fierce no chill. You made me proud, every single day. I was in awe of your creativity and sheer determination. Now I will try to repay you by Earping, to the best of my abilities. for as long as they’ll let me.
