Star Wars Jedi Survivor can be unforgiving if you are not careful. Cal can go down fast even fighting smaller enemies if you are unprepared. Thankfully, there are some excellent skills to prioritize in Star Wars Jedi Survivor that can give you the upper hand when travelling to unexplored lands.
Plot an optimal path through the available skills and not only will you be able to survive Star Wars Jedi Survivor but thrive during its numerous combat encounters. Of course, the recommendations are just recommendations, you can always deviate from the skill paths. However, we’ve selected skills that provide survivability, combat advantages, and damage output first.
1. Survivor Skills
An extra bit of health never hurts anyone and this is exactly what Survivor Skills give to the players. The skill increases the maximum life so you can sustain more damage and go down in four instead of 3 hits. It won’t increase any resistance but will allow Cal to soak up more damage before going down. In any good action-adventure game, having more health is always a no-brainer. If you are struggling to keep Cal Kestis alive, get this skill first.
2. Perfected Stim Formula
Now that you have extra maximum health, your Stims won’t be able to refill it completely. So you’ll definitely appreciate the Perfected Stim Formula skill. This skill allows Cal to recover additional life when you use a stim canister. The Stims have limited uses before they are depleted so getting more health regeneration out of one allows you to preserve more stims for longer combat stints. This means you’ll spend more time fighting than micromanaging stims in combat.
3. Teamwork
As they say, teamwork makes the dream work. Here the dream is to not die a horrible death by the hands (or claws) of many monsters and creatures in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The Teamwork skill lets Cal use Stims faster. There is an animation that plays while you are healing yourself using a stim. While it’s short, you are vulnerable to attacks during it. Teamwork reduces the time it takes to heal.
4. The Power of Friendship
Cal is a Force user so naturally, he has a Force meter. The more you use Force abilities the more the meter depletes. There are several ways to refill the meter but The Power of Friendship is one of the easiest ones. Whenever you use BD’s Stim, some Force meter is also filled. Simple, clean, and free Force refills whenever you are low.
5. Attunement
Speaking of Force, it’s a powerful tool in Cal’s arsenal. It can be used in combat when being aggressive or defensive, and during exploration as well. Attunement like the Survivor Skills increases the max Force Meter allowing you to use more of your abilities. Unlike health, Force refills during combat too so you are never left defenseless. More Force equals more epic Force abilities to use during combat. Throwing enemies of ledges never gets old.
6. Wrenching Pull
Wrenching Pull is a great way to stagger smaller enemies and make them come closer to Cal. This in turn lets Cal dish some melee damage while the enemies are disoriented. It’s best used as a crowd control tool as it pulls everyone around towards Cal. Closing distance with your enemies is essential in dealing with consistent damage. Combine this with an AOE attack like the Orbit Throw of Double Bladed lightsabers and you have a killer combo.
7. Channelled Energy
Channelled Energy provides multiple ways to refill Force. Hit a blocking enemy, and restore some Force. Defeat an enemy and get even more Force back. It’s like tax rebates for your Force. Channelled Energy is essential if you love spamming Force abilities during combat. This skill rewards you for being aggressive during combat, it also incentivizes you to always be on the offensive. Keep on attacking and get some Force refunds which will let you be even more aggressive towards your enemies. A win-win skill if you ask us.
8. Greater Reflexes
Struggling against bosses that just keep on attacking? Greater Reflexes are the solution. It allows the Block meter to refill quicker which in terms makes you recover quickly from attacks. This may seem like an OK skill but it is incredibly important when fighting some of the tougher bosses. It also goes well when you are surrounded by a mob of enemies and are taking hits. Getting back control of the fight lets you dish out damage or retreat.
9. Greater Confusion
What’s better than confusing one enemy? Confusing two! This is exactly what Great Confusion does. It’s a must-have when fighting multiple enemies as it takes out some enemies from combat allowing you to regain your footing. It also turns enemies against each other and lets you focus on bigger and worse enemies. You can take a breather while the colleagues fight amongst themselves.
10. Dash Strike
A single-blade attack that propels Cal forward towards an enemy. It’s a blade attack that deals a significant amount of damage. Dash Strike can take out most smaller enemies in one strike as well. Having control over the battlefield with movement is essential in positioning yourself better. Close distance and do a good amount of damage in one fell swoop. It looks super cool to pull off too, which is always fun.
Conclusion:
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is filled with great skills to have. We also recommend the combo of Twin and Unrelenting Pull which allows you to pull two enemies even bigger ones. Parry Push is a great skill to counter-attack enemies. Aerial Assault and Ace let you deal damage from the air while being super stylish.
