Adam Driver Doesn’t Think Kylo Ren Would Be Good Boyfriend Material for Rey (Or Anyone)

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”32685″ img_size=”700×350″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While Kylo Ren and Rey seem to have a connection in the new Star Wars trilogy, can he be redeemed in Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker? Actor Adam Driver breaks down the why and why not in regards to his redemption arc and how that attributes to his charm:

“There’s something in having an antagonist who is a little more vulnerable. That seems to be more relatable and human than just someone who is a psychopath.”

Driver also commented on the fact that some fans really want to see Kylo Ren and Rey together:

“I mean, of course, I’m sympathetic to him and I understand,” Driver said. “But I can see on the outside, if I analyzed it, which I don’t, that someone who’s killed his class doesn’t really seem to be good boyfriend material.”

He added

“He’s almost like a spoiled rich kid who has to evolve into something. He’s following his path of finding who he is. You might have had to metaphorically, or in this case literally, kill your father to find out who you are. To be your own person, at a certain point you have to claim it. But then again, we never really figure out who we are.”

What do you think about Kylo Ren? Are you excited for Rise of Skywalker, set to hit theaters on December 20th?
