The theories about what kind of business Avengers:End Game would produce have long been discussed before the film began. Now that the world has seen what Marvel Studios has produced, the Box Office numbers it has put together have been record breaking and staggering. To recognize that accomplishment, Marvel and Disney have sent out a press release honoring both the work and the fans who have supported it. Here is the beginning of that release: BURBANK, Calif. – April 28, 2019 – Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” made history this weekend with a record-shattering estimated global debut of $1,209.0 million, becoming the first film…

Now that Avengers End Game is running rough shod over the Box Office and records are falling like dust in the wind, Marvel’s attention will turn to its Phase Four films. One of them will be the Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow solo film. Details have remained sketchy but perhaps a minor detail from End Game might expose a clue to her background. When Hawkeye/Ronin and Natasha have to make a trip to Vomir to retrieve the Soul Stone, they run into the keeper of the stone, The Red Skull. The Skull once again goes through his spiel about what is required to…
Karen Gillan Wants to Direct an MCU Film
One of the first shows announced for Marvel content on Disney+ was a series based on everyone’s favorite trickster Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. The only problem was that he had an unfortunate incident on the way to the Disney + series when his neck ran into Thanos gauntlet in Avengers Infinity War. It’s kind of hard to Star in a series when you’re kind of…what’s the Word? Oh yes, Dead! However, with a certain event in Avenger’s Endgame, the character might have an inroad to his appearance. [Warning: Spoilers] In Endgame, a trip back to 2012 and the Chitauri invasion is…
No doubt this Month has been a geek’s dream for exciting content. Between the series final for Gotham, HBO’s Game of Thrones moving in to its biggest battle in its history and Marvel’s Avengers End Game breaking records and hearts at the theater, what more could you ask for? How about the casting choice for Matt Reeves Batman? It has been reported by Twitter scooper Daniel Richtman that the decision might be made this week. https://twitter.com/danielrpk/status/1122271114816827393?s=21 As pretty much everyone knows by now that Ben Affleck recently confirmed he would not be reassuming the role and Director Matt Reeves has…
When I last left you, I was basking in the glory of The MCU’s Phase One Collection of Films. They checked all of my boxes. Characters that looked like they were supposed to, superb casting choices, and riveting stories. They were batting almost .1000. The problem with perfection is there is only place to go, and that is down. That is not to say that they had any major failures, but they did for the first time get some negative feedback. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It can be the motivation you need when you might be getting complacent.…

The relationship between Jaime and Brienne is a complicated one and it has gone from ridicule, and disregard to respect and dare we say, admiration? Perhaps, even Love? It might depend on who you ask. To understand what transpired in the scene, it is necessary to examine the path they took to arrive at this place and this monumental occasion. Brienne of Tarth was first…
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”20523″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]I grew up on comic books. I say that with pride and not shame. Whether they were DC or Marvel I didn’t care. If it had great art and an intriguing storyline, I was hooked. Over the years, I developed a preference for certain characters. Superman, and Batman were givens. The Justice League, The Legion of Super-Heroes were must reads but soon gave way to The Fantastic Four and the Avengers. While I still liked DC, I gravitated toward Marvel. Characters like Spider-Man and Ben Grimm, Reed Richards, Sue and Johnny Storm, they had powers but they…
So we have gotten through Episode One, Winterfell, which was a lot of reunions, explanations, truth reveals, and Bran, Bran, Everywhere. Oh, and also Jaime Lannister arrived at Winterfell. So what have we learned from episode 2? Besides that poor HBO cannot get a break from their episodes getting leaked out early. First DirecTV and then Amazon Prime Video in Germany. C’mon folks….get your technology under control. So let’s take a look see… 1) Ser Jaime owes his life to Lady Brienne who spoke in his behalf. Denaerys was ready to have him killed for his crimes against her family.…
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”20274″ img_size=”640×392″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With the Disney acquisition of Fox, and along with it, the rights of the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Dead Pool and a number of other characters, it has been a common discussion which of these characters might one day become part of the MCU. Apparently, the directors of Avengers: End Game, Joe and Anthony Russo have also been thinking about the possibilities. During their recent media blitz, for the film, the Russo Bros. talked about who they would like to see one day in MCU during an interview with SyFy Wire. Joe Russo stated that he’d love…
