Daredevil Season 3 to “Return to Form” According to Netflix VP

Despite the fact that The Punisher and Elektra received a lot of praise during their breakout in Daredevil season two, the second season of the Matt Murdock centered show was not received as positively as the first season. As much as I love this show, I have to agree with the critics. I loved the Frank Castle storyline, but besides that, Murdock’s arc wasn’t all that entertaining. And what they did with him and Foggy’s friendship at the end was a little unforgivable, but clearly a trend Marvel Netflix likes to partake in i.e. Jessica Jones season two. Although we

Are There More Marvel Netflix Spin-Offs on the Rise?

While Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist along with The Defenders were the original deal between Disney and Netflix, there’s a chance we could be getting more spin-off shows. Netflix’s Vice President Cindy Holland spoke at the TCA Summer Tour, expressing the openness for other Marvel shows. We can all attribute this essentially to Jon Bernthal’s performance as Frank Castle in Daredevil season two, launching the need for a separate Punisher series. Holland confirmed, “there’s always an ongoing discussion as to whether we will spin off additional characters.” While it’s highly unlikely that we’ll be getting a Ghost

Castle Rock’s Jane Levy Open to play ‘Batgirl’

It’s rare for a fan-cast to turn up as the actual character, but for Batgirl fans, the spark is alive and shining bright. Castle Rock star Jane Levy says that she is honored to be considered as a true Barbara Gordon by fans. Although it’s reported that Batgirl won’t make an appearance in the upcoming Warner Bros. Birds of Prey movie, it seems that Levy would take any role in the DCU. “I don’t know who Huntress or Black Canary [are]. 100%, I’m in. Thank you for getting me a job. Yes, I’m in.” Levy told MTV during her SDCC

Jon Bernthal: King of Short, but Lasting Performances

While Jon Bernthal is best known for his show-stopping performance as Frank Castle and memorable Shane Walsh, Bernthal also is known for something else. If you go digging through the talented actor’s career, you can find that he is pretty much the king of showing up in a film for a very short period of time and usually dying, but delivering a great show during his brief time on screen. With the movie Widows premiering November 16 of this year, we already know Bernthal’s character isn’t going to last long. The premise of the film is about the widows of several

Season Recap: American Gods

There’s rarely a television concept that we haven’t seen before. How many shows out there are based around crime scene detectives or sitcoms about the all American family? Stemmed from a book, American Gods certainly offers a unique storyline. Bringing together new and old gods from mythology into modern day society makes for one strange, interesting world that at times works and at times, doesn’t work. American Gods has only had one season so far and that season consisted of eight episodes. The series opens up with Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) being released from prison a few days before his

Could Maggie Ever Forgive Negan on The Walking Dead?

If you’ve been a fan of the AMC hit show The Walking Dead, then you have seen the most shocking season-opening, in season seven, when we were not only given a proper introduction to Negan, but also a gruesome farewell to some characters. The previous season’s finale had left us hanging, not knowing who Negan was going to pick to receive the barbed wired baseball bat of death’s wrath. When it was Abraham chosen to be mercilessly killed by Lucille (the baseball bat), we all had a moment where we thought Glenn was in the clear. In the comics, Glenn

‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Is Exactly What Fans Want, Marvel CCO Promises

The Punisher season 1 is still my favorite show in the Marel Netflix universe. After introducing Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle in the second season of Daredevil, I knew that Castle’s solo series would be unlike any of the other Defenders universe shows. Gritty, raw, and explosive, The Punisher showcased the many different sides of its title character rather than just the violent soldier that we primarily saw in Daredevil. Of course, our favorite anti-hero was everything we wanted him to be, but seeing him as a friend, husband, and father was not something we were able to see before his own

‘Altered Carbon’ Renewed For a Second Season; Casts Antony Mackie as Lead

New season. New sleeve. Altered Carbon’s official twitter sent out today, announcing the renewal for a second season. The sci-fi show based on the book by Richard Morgan will return to Netflix with eight episodes, instead of the ten it had in season one. Premiering on February 2, 2018, this wildly imaginative show gauged mixed reactions, though; if you ask me, is definitely one of my favorites on the online streaming service. Primarily played by Joel Kinnaman, the show centers around Takeshi Kovacs as he awakes 250 years after originally being sentenced to a lifetime of being essentially decommissioned. We
