Relive the SNAP! Heard Around the MCU

With the upcoming digital release of Avengers: Infinity War, the remaining three people who haven’t watched it can see what the fuss was all about. Spoiler alert: “It’s over in a snap…which is pretty good for a movie that is two and a half hours long. For those of us who have seen it, we can once again enjoy the Hulk’s two minute appearance before he hides inside Banner like a broken whack-a-mole who refuses to come out. I guess after being the Grandmaster’s champion, it hurts the pride when you’re slapped about like Loki was in the Avengers. One wonders

Looking to the Future – Films and Television of 2019

It’s all over. The votes are in and looking ahead, 2019 might be the biggest year ever for geeks like myself. Some of the biggest (and in “Game of Thrones” case, most awarded) TV shows of all time are coming to a close next year. 2019 will mark the end of “Game of Thrones”, “Gotham”, and possibly “Marvel’s Agents of Shield.” It will also see the end of the “Infinity War”saga with release of “Avenger’s 4” (or whatever they end up calling it). Perhaps the title will be: “Avengers 4: The quest to bring back all of the heroes we

Welcome Home X-Men! The Fox and Disney Deal Gets Approved

Cue the music! After a long and breath-holding journey, Disney and Fox have finally agreed upon a deal! For $71.3 billion dollars, Disney will purchase most of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. Even though shareholders in six different countries still need to give their approval, this is a massive step for everyone, essentially shaking up the entertainment industry. If everything goes well, we will have a finalized deal in 2019. We had a moment where it seemed like this deal would not go through, with Comcast lurking in to potentially purchase Fox. Luckily, Comcast dropped out recently and the event we

Report: ‘Dark Phoenix’ and ‘New Mutants’ Still Happening

Yesterday the internet was sent into a frenzy as reports came out that FOX was going to scrap the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix film and the New Mutants. That report came from a user on the SuperHeroHype forums who said he was an employee for the FOX company. None this information was ever validated and many came out saying this was untrue and that FOX still planned to release both films. One of those users was Jeremy Conrad with MCU Cosmic whom I follow on Twitter and can say that Jeremy has a pretty good track record when it comes to this

Has Fox’s ‘Gambit’ Been Cancelled

It should come to no great surprise that X-Men’s Gambit movie is most likely not happening. After years of going back and forth between directors, screenwriters, and Channing Tatum, Fox is rumored to have cancelled the project all together. For fans of the X-Men franchise, this is pretty cruddy news. On top of this, it’s very possible that anticipated films like New Mutants and Dark Phoenix could never be seen. Ever since Taylor Kitsch portrayed Remy Etienne LeBeau in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, fans had been excited about the chance to see Remy get his own spin-off movie. Who wouldn’t

It appears that the Spider-Man spin off film, Silver and Black, continues to be plagued with development issues. According to The Hollywood Reporter , director Gina Prince-Bythewood is taking on another project which will see her direct the The Old Guard, a comic series from Image. Gina Prince-Bythewood has said that she is still working the script for Silver and Black and even commented on the script saying: “With Silver & Black, when you’re doing a film of that magnitude, it’s gotta be right. And if it’s not right, we actually collectively decided to go back to the drawing board and start over. That’s

John Krasinski Reflects On His Loss To Chris Evans For Captain America

It’s hard to imagine anyone as Captain America other than Chris Evans. Prior to taking the mantle of one of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes, Evans had been best known for his work as another well-known Marvel character, Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch. Before then, he was in Not Another Teen Movie and The Perfect Score, alongside another MCU Alum, Scarlet Johansson. Since landing the role of Steve Rogers, Evans has shown us how prominent of an actor he is with movies like Puncture, Snowpiercer, and Gifted.   While we’ve come to know Evans as Captain America for the better part
