Now that Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League is getting the green light and money to be completed for HBO Max, others are looking toward another DC film that was heavily tampered with by the studio. Suicide Squad garnered mixed reviews and while I enjoyed it and said “it is what it is”, other fans are now wanting David Ayer to get his “Ayer Cut” of Suicide Squad“. Ayer, who is enthusiastic about this proposition; says it would be easy to finish:
“This is a good question. My cut would be easy to complete. It would be incredibly cathartic for me. It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ treatment. The film I made has never been seen.”
There’s no word as to whether or not Ayer will actually get to complete his version of the film, as it took four years of fans demanding a Snyder cut for it to actually happen. Either way, would you like to see an Ayer cut of Suicide Squad?
