‘Grand Theft Auto III’, ‘GTA: Vice City’ and ‘GTA: San Andreas’ Getting The Remaster Treatment

While people are currently immersed in GTA V and still waiting for Rockstar Games to come out with GTA 6, fans have been wanting a remastered version of their 3D universe for a long time. In case you didn’t know, the 3D universe consists of the GTA trilogy. That being GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Well, fans, we have good news for you. Apparently, Rockstar Games is remastering its popular trilogy.

These PS2-era games will be released on PS5, XBox Series, and Nintendo Switch. All three games will be remastered using Unreal Engine and will be “a mix of new and old graphics”. According to sources, these remastered titles will be launched around late October or early November. The official list of consoles that it will be available for are: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, Stadia, and mobile phones.

Kotaku reports that the PC and mobile versions will most likely be released next year so Rockstar can focus on the console releases first.

Now…if only Rockstar would remaster GTA IV (GTA 4) and release it on PS4/PS5.

What do you think of Rockstar remastering its 3D universe?
