Justice League: Joss Whedon’s Script Had 80 Pages of Reshoots

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”32132″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]New reports are emerging with some pretty startling news: Joss Whedon’s Justice League reshoots encompassed nearly eighty pages of a new script. Contrary to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which focused on introducing solo characters before unveiling The Avengers, DC decided to take the plunge and release Justice League before giving all the main characters their own screen time.

The original director of Justice League, Zack Snyder, had to step away from filming after an unexpected family tragedy. This prompted DC to bring in Whedon to put the finishing touches on the movie. With word now spreading about the enormous changes Whedon made, people are questioning if his new vision for the film ultimately led to its downfall.

Although Warner Bros hired Whedon with the hope that he’d produce the same level of success he achieved with The Avengers in 2012, fans and critics ultimately reacted negatively to Justice League. Only days after the film’s release. Dedicated fans began rallying for Snyder’s original cut of the film afterward.

Two years have passed and fans still haven’t thrown in the towel, using #Releasethesnydercut to continue campaigning for its release. The movement has even gained support from the movie’s own cast and crew, with Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher all standing behind Snyder’s original vision.

Despite the buzz, it’s clear that Warner Bros has no plans of releasing the Snyder cut, which would cost an estimated $30 to $40 million to complete (you know, special effects and all).
