This includes an openly gay character in the upcoming film The Eternals. The identity of the character has not been revealed, but it will be in a much larger capacity than the small role that Joe Russo had in Avengers: Endgame.
Feige spoke on Good Morning America about this character, stating:
“He’s married. He’s got a family. And that is just part of who he is.”
We have never had an openly gay character in the MCU. While TV shows in the superhero realm have been more open to displaying LGBT characters, it is something that is still not expanded on in the movies.
